Years ago, I used to rise before the sun most mornings. Now I drag out of bed. This morning my 5 year old and I had to pick my other son from school by 7 AM. Last night our PTA conducted an overnight "read-a-thon" fundraiser. The kids have designated times to read. The rest of the time they behave like you would expect 9, 10, and 11 year-olds to do.So this morning with the nice weather and my rising before the daylight savings time sun...I have a bit of spring fever.

.... a rocking horse that my dad made for me.
... an old rocker that I repainted and re-covered the seat.
This peacefulness is likely come to an end in about an hour when I have to drag my drowsy 10 year old out of bed to head over to the Pinewood Derby race.
